Refund policy

This policy applies to books purchased on our website and delivered within India.
1) Return window
  • You can request a return or replacement within 2 days of delivery (as shown on courier tracking).
2) When a return/replacement is allowed (genuine cases)
  1. Wrong product received (different title, author, edition, or format from what you ordered).
  2. Printing defects (misprints, missing/duplicate pages, incorrect page order, major binding issues).
  3. Damaged or missing items in the shipment (e.g., transit damage, short shipment).
If the outer package looks tampered, you may refuse delivery and notify us within 2 days.
3) What isn’t covered
  • Change of mind or purchased by mistake.
  • Minor marks on outer packaging or slight cosmetic imperfections that don’t affect readability.
  • Damage occurring after delivery due to storage, moisture, or misuse.
  • Items marked non‑returnable on the product page, digital products, gift cards, and free gifts.
4) How to raise a request
Email pratilipibooks@pratilipi.com within 2 days with:
  • Subject: Return/Replacement – Order ID
  • Details: Issue type (Wrong/Damaged/Defect/Missing) and a short description
  • Photos: Book cover, the issue area, and the outer box with shipping label
  • For damage or missing items, an unboxing video (if available) helps us resolve faster.
We’ll check the details and respond with next steps.
5) What happens next
  • Pickup: We’ll arrange a reverse pickup where available and share packing instructions.
  • Condition: Please return the item in its original condition with all inserts/freebies.
  • Quality check: Once the return reaches us, we verify the issue.
6) Resolution
  • Replacement (preferred) for the same title/edition if in stock.
  • Reship any missing item(s).
  • Refund if a replacement isn’t available or the case qualifies for a refund.
7) Refund method & timeline
  • Prepaid orders: Refund to the original payment method.
  • Cash on Delivery: Refund via UPI/bank transfer or as store credit (as you prefer).
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after verification.
